(Riverside, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Track and Field Feam tallied 82 points to take fourth at the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Championships at Riverside City College, on Saturday (05/11). Cerritos (166 points), Riverside (130) and West Los Angeles (88) were the top three teams at the meet.
Mountie first-place finishers included Rebecca Ruiz (10,000M) and Darla Gonzalez (pole vault).
Mt. SAC dominated the pole vault taking first (Gonzalez), second (Amy Campos), tieing for third (Mayara De Souza), and tieing for fifth (Kierstyn Wilbourn).
The team will move on to the CCCAA Track and Field State Championships which will be held this Friday and Saturday, May 17-18, at the College of San Mateo (San Mateo, CA).
