
Riverside, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Track and Field Team qualified 11 individuals and a relay team to the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern Regional Championships. The finals will be held on Saturday (05/11), at Riverside City College and will determine those advancing to the CCCAA State Championships to be held on May 17th through 18th at the College of San Mateo.
Three Mounties already punched their ticket to the state championships with top finishing places in their respective event, which held finals during the regional preliminaries. Rebecca Ruiz captured an individual Southern California Championship in the 10,000 meters while Montserrath Celis (10,000M), Katherine Chidester (Heptathlon) and Senna Forkner (Javelin) qualified for the state championships in their respective events.
