(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Tennis team suffered its fifth loss in a row, with a 9-0 setback to visiting Riverside City College, on Friday (March 25) in a non-conference match at the Mt. SAC Tennis center.
With the loss, the Mounties fell to 3-7 overall on the season.
Falling to the RCC in doubles were: Lydia Jong/Lara Rizkallah (8-1), Karina Ramirez/Alejandra Vasquez (8-2) and Rebecca Contreras/Ebe Romero (8-1).
Falling in three sets was No. 2 Rizkallah (1-6, 6-0, 6-0). Vasquez and Contreras retired due to injury.
Straight-set singles losses by the Mounties were: No. 1 Jong (6-2, 6-0), No. 3 Ramirez (6-0, 6-0), and No. 6 Romero (6-2, 6-0).
The Mounties will continue play on Saturday, March 26, against Antelope Valley at 12 p.m.
