(Walnut, CA) Ventura College (2-2) handed the Mt. SAC Women's Tennis team (1-2) a 7-2 defeat on Thursday, April 22.

In singles competition, the Mounties' Alex Vasquez outscored the Pirates' Victoria Zegers, 7-5, 6-4, and teammate Cassandra Paulson bested Ventura's Tanya Thompson, 6-4, 7-5, to capture Mt. SAC's other team point.

Season play resumes on Tuesday, April 27, when the Mounties host Antelope Valley College (0-2), at 2 p.m., and Mt. San Jacinto (0-1) on Thursday, April 29, also at 2 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no spectators are allowed at either match.
