Walnut, Calif. – After an action-packed 4-1 win over Pasadena City College in the South Coast Conference Tournament Semifinals, the Mt. SAC Women's Soccer Team is headed to the championship! The Mounties improve to 13-3-3, while the Lancers drop to 13-6-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Mounties wasted no time proving they were the dominant team. In the 14th minute, Yuliana Jimenez unleashed a rocket from 25 yards out to open the scoring. Then, before halftime, Maddison Shaw doubled the lead with a smooth finish off a perfect cross from Nadine Padilla, giving Mt. SAC a confident 2–0 lead.

After the break, Samantha Sanchez made it 3–0 with a penalty kick in the 54th minute. Pasadena managed to sneak one back midway through the second half, but the Mounties answered right back — Zophia Romero sealed the deal in the 71st minute, slotting home a slick pass from Eden Ramirez to make it 4–1.

The Mounties outshot Pasadena 23–13, with 11 shots on goal and an aggressive attack that never let up. Goalkeeper Zanette Gonzalez stood tall with five key saves, keeping Pasadena's offense in check.
