Walnut, Calif. – It was a night to remember for the Mt. San Antonio College Women's Soccer Program as the current Mounties delivered a commanding 4-0 victory over El Camino on Friday, October 17 — all in front of the 1995 State Championship team, who returned to celebrate their 30-year anniversary.

Before kickoff, members of the historic 1995 squad were honored on the field in a heartfelt pregame ceremony. The former champions reunited with their coach and athletic trainer, reminisced over photos and news clippings, and shared advice with today's Mounties — all while proudly hoisting the trophy that helped launch the legacy of Mt. SAC women's soccer.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Fueled by the energy of the pregame celebration, the Mounties came out strong. Hannah Zuniga opened the scoring in the 11th minute off a clean assist from Nadine Padilla. Victoria Boyde added a second goal in the 37th minute, sending Mt. SAC into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

The Mounties didn't let up after the break. Eden Ramirez struck in the 51st minute, and Yuliana Jimenez capped off the night with the fourth and final goal in the 80th minute.

Mt. SAC dominated both sides of the ball, recording 10 total shots and controlling possession throughout. On defense, the Mounties allowed just two shots on goal, both saved by goalkeeper Zanette Gonzalez, earning the clean sheet.

The win improves Mt. SAC's record to 8-2-3 overall and a perfect 3-0 in South Coast Conference play. El Camino drops to 2-9-2 overall and 1-3 in conference action.
