
Walnut, Calif. – After three straight draws to open the season, the Mt. SAC Women's Soccer Team earned their first victory with a 1-0 win over College of the Desert on Friday, September 5.
The match remained scoreless through 80 minutes until Teresa Garcia broke the deadlock, finishing a well-placed pass from Yuliana Jimenez for the game's lone goal.
The Mounties recorded eight shots on goal, converting just one, while holding the Roadrunners to only three attempts. Goalkeeper Zanette Gonzalez was solid in net, keeping the clean sheet to secure the win.
Mt. SAC now holds a 1-0-3 record and sits second in the South Coast Conference North Division, trailing only Pasadena City College.

The Mounties remain at home to host Ventura College (0-2-1) on Tuesday, September 9 at 7:00 PM.
