(Long Beach, CA) In a battle for the South Coast Conference Tournament title, top-seed and South Division winner Long Beach City College (14-0-5) defeated second seed and North Division winner Mt. San Antonio College (15-3-3) by the score of 2-0 on Friday, Nov. 10, at LBCC. Both teams were also highly ranked in the current California Community College Sports Information Association state poll—the Mounties at No. 4 and the Vikings at No. 5.

For Mt. SAC, goalie Anai Olmedo played all 90 minutes, making five saves.

By virtue of their record and high ranking, it's likely the Mounties will earn a spot in the upcoming 3C2A South Regional playoffs. Pairings will be announced soon, so check back to see if Mt. SAC's season will continue
