(Torrance, CA) For the second consecutive season, the South Coast Conference Tournament championship game was decided by penalty kicks. On Friday, Nov. 11, at El Camino College, Mt. San Antonio College (18-1-1, 9-0) captured the conference title by outscoring Long Beach City College (15-2-1, 8-1) in the PK session, 5-4, following a scoreless tie through regulation. The Mounties won the SCC title in 2021 against Rio Hondo College on penalty kicks, as well.

Mt. SAC made four shots on goal during the first 90 minutes against the Vikings, but none of them found the net. Goalie Leila Peregrina held Long Beach scoreless in 90 minutes, making one save.

With the conference crown, the Mounties earn an automatic berth in the upcoming California Community College Athletic Association Southern Regional playoffs, which get underway on Nov. 19.
