Mt. SAC Women's Soccer runs win streak to 14 with SCC shutout against L.A. City

(Walnut, CA) Mt. San Antonio College (16-1, 8-0) scored early and often in a 9-0 South Coast Conference North Division victory against visiting Los Angeles City College (4-9-2, 2-5-1) on Friday, Oct. 28. The victory was the 14th in a row for the Mounties.

Kaylee Gutierrez led Mt. SAC with three goals on assists from Veronica Aquino (2) and Ynneli Gonzalez-Soriano. Zuhayle Diaz added two goals on a pair of assists from Natalia Reyes. Goals from Audrie Mahassel (Karissa Vela assist), Sasha Lopez (Fatima Arnold assist), Joie Juarez (Diaz assist), and Ivory Ramirez (Mariela García assist) rounded out the Mounties' scoring.

Leila Peregrina (45 minutes, 1 save) and Jennifer Sanchez (45 minutes, 1 save) combined in goal to hold the Cubs scoreless.

Ranked No. 4 in the state in the most recent California Community College Sports Information Association poll, Mt. SAC will conclude its regular-season schedule at home with an SCC crossover game against Los Angeles Harbor College (7-7-4, 4-1-3) on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m.
