(Whittier, CA) A three-game shutout streak by the Mt. SAC Women's Soccer team came to an abrupt end Tuesday in a South Coast Conference game Tuesday afternoon.
The Mounties, riding high on not allowing a goal in three consecutive games, were on the other end of a shutout as host Rio Hondo defeated Mt. SAC 3-0. All three Roadrunner goals were scored in the first half.
With the loss the Mounties fell to 4-4-1 overall and are 1-1 in conference.
Rio Hondo sits atop the conference with a 3-0 record and are 6-2-1 overall.
In the second half Mt. SAC took seven shots but couldn't get a score on the two Rio Hondo goal keepers.
The Mounties return home on Friday October 6 for a 4:00 pm conference game against Pasadena City College.
