Nothing Gets By Cassidy! Second Straight Mt. SAC Women’s Soccer Shutout

(Walnut, CA) For the second consecutive game, Mt. SAC Women's Soccer goal keeper Cassidy Mount has not allowed a goal, the latest a, 3-0, blanking of Citrus College on Friday.

Mount, who shutout the College of Southern Nevada, 2-0, on Tuesday combined with sophomore Riley Barbata and turned aside 14 shots against the Owls. Mount played the first 82 minutes and Barbata finished up the last eight for the combination shutout.

For the third time in the last two seasons the Mounties have produced back-to-back shutout wins.

Leading Mt. SAC (3-3-1) with a pair of goals was sophomore center midfielder Evette Luna.

The Mounties scored all three goals in the first half with Luna scoring the first two in the 19th (assist Carmen Rosales) and 30th minute (Vanessa Plascencia), followed by the third goal in the 45th minute by sophomore outside back Bryana Medina (Stephania Gonzalez).

Mt. SAC travels to East Los Angeles College on Tuesday for a 4:00 pm game.
