Walnut, Calif. – The Mt. San Antonio College Men's Wrestling Team turned in a near-perfect performance Wednesday night, shutting out Imperial Valley College 57–0. The Mounties won all 10 contested bouts, including six by fall and three by forfeit, displaying complete control from start to finish.
The dual started with fireworks as Camilo Ramirez (125 lbs.) opened the meet with a pin in 2:42 over Jonas Espinoza. Rylan Madrid (133 lbs) followed suit, securing a fall in 2:19, and Zain Khan (141 lbs.) kept the momentum rolling with the quickest pin of the night at just 26 seconds.
The Mounties continued their pin streak as Ruben Ortiz (149 lbs.) and Jayden Espinoza (157 lbs.) each won by fall in 4:42 and 0:39, respectively. Roman Rodriguez (165 lbs.) added another fall in 3:41, giving Mt. SAC six straight pins to open the dual.
At 174 lbs, Mitchell Semaan (174 lbs.) earned a hard-fought 12–6 decision over Jesus Pena before Wendell Mitchell (184 lbs.), Cody South (197 lbs.), and Dib Sawaya (285 lbs.) each received wins by forfeit to close out the meet.
The sweep showcased Mt. SAC's depth and dominance across all weight classes as they continue their march through the 2025 season.
