(Modesto, CA) In a field of 11 schools, the Mt. San Antonio College Wrestling team placed second with 134.5 points at the 2022 Modesto College Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8. Fresno City College finished first with 151.5 points and host Modesto College placed third with 105.5 points.

First-place finishers from Mt. SAC included Chris Calderon (125 lbs.), David Saenz (133 lbs.), and Billy Looney (149 lbs.).

Nate Kendricks (197 lbs.), Jakob Hand (184 lbs.), Marcus Lobato (157 lbs.), and Chris Betancourt (125 lbs.) placed second in their respective weight classes for the Mounties.

Placing third in their weight classes for Mt. SAC were Diego Villalobs (125 lbs.), Jason Valencia (141 lbs.), and Jeicatl Alonso (157 lbs.).

The Mounties open their Southern California Wrestling Association Southwest Conference schedule at Rio Hondo College on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m.
