(San Marcos, CA) The Mt. SAC Wrestling Team finished third in the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Dual Championships on Saturday October 13 at Palomar College.

Mt. SAC finished third behind Palomar and Cerritos. Cerritos, which won its third So Cal Duals title in a row, defeated Palomar in the championship match, 37-7. Cerritos will now face Nor Cal Duals Champion Fresno City College for the state title in November.

The Mounties, ranked No. 3 in the state by the California Community College Wrestling (CACC) poll, lost a close semifinal match to Palomar, 23-18.

Mt. SAC would come back and win its third-place match, 48-12 over Rio Hondo College.

The Mounties will host Rio Hondo College this Wednesday October 17 in a SCWA Southwest match.
