Mounties Keep Momentum Going with Back-to-Back Second Place Finishes

Palm Desert, Calif. – In their second conference tournament of the 2025 season, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team continued to show strong form, finishing in second place with a team score of 337. Orange Coast College maintained their lead in the Orange Empire Conference, taking first with an impressive 316 — a 21-stroke edge over the Mounties. Cuyamaca College claimed third with a 415, while Fullerton placed fourth at 447.

Sophomore standout Kaitlyn Wang once again led the Mounties, carding a 77 — the second-lowest individual score of the tournament, just one stroke behind OCC's Nalani Sam, who shot a 76. Abigail Price and Lauren Grant-Timassy followed with matching scores of 86, while Kyrie Padero and Leah Garcia each contributed an 88. Evangeline Rodriguez rounded out the team with a 97.

Through two tournaments, Wang currently ranks second in the overall conference standings with a combined score of 155 — just one stroke behind OCC's Sophia Ingle, who leads with a 154.
