The Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team secured a remarkable victory at the State Preview Tournament held on Monday, October 7, at Monarch Dunes Golf Club in Nipomo, California, as part of the North South Invitational. Competing against 12 other colleges, the ladies shot an impressive total of 313 to clinch first place.

Reedley College finished in second place with a team total of 317, while Modesto Junior College and Cuyamaca College were closely matched, finishing with scores of 336 and 337, respectively.

Team captain Kylie Lau delivered a standout performance, leading the team with a score of 76, which earned her the tournament's Most Valuable Player trophy. Close behind, Sophia Miller recorded a strong score of 77, while fellow captain Alana Lo finished with 79. The third team captain, Natalie Neal, contributed significantly with a score of 81.

Coach Guevara reflected on the team's outstanding performance saying, "This course is by far the hardest layout we have played this year, and yesterday was the first time the ladies were able to see the course and observe its playing conditions. The team played very well and I'm proud of them."

The Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team will continue their season at the familiar Cottonwood Golf Club in El Cajon on Monday, October 14.
