The Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team secured another win in their latest tournament at the El Prado Golf Course on Monday, September 30, displaying their exceptional talent with another school-record score of 303.
Orange Coast College came in second with a team score of 312, while Cuyamaca College finished third with an overall score of 315.
Sophomore Kylie Lau led the team by shooting a one-under par score of 71. Natalie Neal followed closely behind with a 74, and Sophia Miller contributed a solid 76, demonstrating the depth and skill within the team. Rounding out the scoring were Alana Lo with an 82, Kaitlyn Wang with an 83, and Julissa Garcia finishing with a 94.
"The ladies came through again and shot another school record score of 303," head Coach Art Guevara said. "I feel that this team has a great chance to shoot a team total of a sub-300 score. Our team is tough to beat when we have three of the four scores to count come in with a score under 80."
The team will next compete on Sunday, October 6, in the North South Invitational at Monarch Dunes Golf Club in Nipomo, California. This match serves as a preview of the state tournament, where the ladies are making a strong push to be contenders.
