In the first tournament of the season, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team placed first with a score of 314 at Soboba Springs Golf Course in San Jacinto, California on Monday, September 9.
Orange Coast College finished closely behind with a team score of 318 and Cuyamaca finished in third place with a team total of 336.
Sophomore Natalie Neal led the team with an impressive score of 74 (R1 37, R2 37), marking her as a standout performer of the day. Kylie Lau followed closely with a solid 76 (R1 38, R2 38), while newcomer Kaitlyn Wang added a strong contribution with a score of 79 (R1 43, R2 36). Sophia Miller and Alana Lo rounded out the team's performance with scores of 85 and 88 respectively. Julissa Garcia remained a valuable part of the team's effort with a total score of 104.
The Mounties will compete in their next tournament on Wednesday, September 11, at the Cottonwood Golf Club in El Cajon, hosted by Cuyamaca College.
