(Irvine, CA) After day one (Monday, October 24) of the Orange Empire Conference Tournament held at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course in Irvine, Mt. SAC Women's freshmen golfers, Kaitlyn and Kayla Loera finished in the top six of the two-day tournament.

Day two continues Wednesday (Oct. 26) for the last tournament prior to the CCCAA Southern Cal's, which begins on Sunday (November 6) and concludes Monday (Nov. 7). The event will be held at El Prado Golf Course in Chino, Mt. SAC and Fullerton will host.

Kaitlyn Loera, who carded an 80, finished tied for second, while her twin sister, Kayla shot an 82 for sixth place.

Kayla stands in fifth after nine events with a 78.5 average and Kaitlyn is 12th, averaging 83.6.

"I'm looking forward to the next two events and our Ladies are ready," Mt. SAC Women's Golf coach Art Guevara said.
