Mt. SAC's Saelee Fires a 75 in OEC Golf Match No. 8

(El Cajon, CA) For the third time this season, Mt. SAC's Precious Saelee has finished atop the leader board in Orange Empire Conference action.

Saddleback's Katie Stribling joined Saelee as low medalist with a 3-over par, 75 at Singing Hills Golf Resort in El Cajon Monday (Oct. 7) in Match No. 8.

Both golfers are battling for the Player-of-the-Year honors in the OEC as they near the finish line.

Saelee holds a slight edge with a 75.8 average and Stribling has a 76.3.

Saddleback College became the first team to topple College of the Desert with a season-low 322 for first place. COD finished second with a 327 and Mt. SAC was third with a 329. The top three teams, which all will qualify for the So Cal Championships, were followed by Cuyamaca (349), Mt. San Jacinto (385), Palomar (387) and Fullerton and Orange Coast with a DNQ.

COD still leads the conference standings with a 55-1 record, while Saddleback is back in second with a 45-1 record. The Mounties are right behind the Gauchos at 44-12. Only one match remains, along with the conference championships.

Next up is the So Cal Preview at Via Verde Country Club in San Dimas, Wednesday Oct. 16, which is hosted by Mt. SAC.
