(City of Industry, CA) For the fourth time this season, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf Team finished in second place in Orange Empire Conference match action.

Each time the Mounties placed behind Saddleback College, with the latest coming on Monday October 22 at Industry Hills Golf Course.

The Mounties (361), who were 3-1 on the day defeating Fullerton, Irvine Valley and Orange Coast, were 18 strokes behind the Gauchos (343).

Saddleback currently leads the conference with a near-perfect 23-1 record, while the Mounties are in second with a 16-8 record followed closely by Fullerton at 15-9.

Leading the way for the Mounties on the Par-71 Babe Zaharias course was Mackenzie Kelly (80), who was tied for third out of 20 golfers, followed by Cristina Liu and Brianna Rojo with 90's.

Kelly is currently in fourth place with an 80.8 scoring average.

Other Mt. SAC scores: Yen Hsu (101), Julyssa Mendiola (102) and Andrea Villarino-Uribe (112).

The Mounties are currently in the middle of the OEC Tournament in second place after day one of the two-day conference championships, which will conclude on Wednesday October 31 at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills.
