Mt. SAC Women's Basketball wins 10th straight in come-from-behind victory over Palomar

(San Marcos, CA) Trailing 23-20 at halftime, Mt. San Antonio College (14-2) rallied in the second half to defeat host Palomar College (12-4) by the score of 57-50 in a non-conference game on Friday, Jan. 5. The win is the Mounties' 10th straight.

Daisia Mitchell posted a game-high 26 points for Mt. SAC and led all players with 12 rebounds. Teammate Dailani Richardson added 12 points and five boards in the winning effort.

In total, the game included eight ties and nine lead changes as the Mounties outrebounded the Comets, 42-38, and outscored them in the paint, 34-18.

Mt. SAC will wrap up its non-conference schedule at home against Mt. San Jacinto College (14-2) on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 5 p.m. Both teams are ranked in the most recent California Community College Women's Basketball Association state poll—the Mounties at No. 2 and the Eagles at No. 13.
