Women's Basketball runs win streak to seven with SCC crossover victory over Long Beach

(Walnut, CA) In its final South Coast Conference crossover game of the season, host Mt. San Antonio (14-3) topped Long Beach City College, 59-51, on Friday to win its seventh straight.

Mina Guevara-Goss led the Mounties with 15 points as teammate Savanna Norfleet added 13. Both players also grabbed nine rebounds. Skylarr Little came up big with 10 rebounds and nine points for Mt. SAC.

Navi Huskey scored a game-high 27 points for the Vikings (11-5) and also led all players with 23 boards.

The Mounties outplayed Long Beach in several key categories, including rebounds (60-47), assists (16-4), and points off turnovers (12-8).

Ranked tied with Moorpark (11-2) at No. 2 in the latest California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association South Region Poll, and No. 7 in the state, Mt. SAC begins SCC North Division play at home against Pasadena City College (7-6) on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m.
