(Walnut, CA) Mt. SAC pitchers Grace Pieson and Gillian Molina combined for a five-inning no-hitter (Tuesday, March 22), with an 8-0 non-conference victory over visiting Ventura College.

Pieson (13-3), who started and went four innings for her 13th win of the season, allowed only two base runners (walks) and struck out five. Molina came in to shut the door in the fifth inning.

With the win, Mounties improved to a 20-3 overall record.

Leading the way for the Mounties were two players with three hits each – Brianna Goris (3-3, R, 3 RBIs, Dbl., HR) and Asia Chacon (3-3, 2 R, Dbl.).

Shortstop Ariana Coronado (1-2, R, 3 RBIs, HR) also had a three-run home run.

The Mounties had two big innings, scoring three in the first and four in the fourth, and pounded out 11 hits against Ventura.

The two big blows were Goris' two-run opposite-field home run in the first and Ariana Coronado's three-run blast in the fourth.
