(Walnut, CA) Ranked No.10 in the state in the most recent California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association's poll, visiting Cerritos College (14-4, 6-2) handed No. 1 Mt. San Antonio College (13-2, 7-1) a 2-0 South Coast Conference defeat on Thursday, March 3.

The Falcons' Samantha Islas held the Mounties to just one hit on the day, a two-out single in the bottom of the sixth by Ariana Coronado.

Starter Grace Pieson (9-2) got the loss for Mt. SAC, pitching 5.1 innings while striking out seven.

The Mounties will host Rio Hondo College (9-5, 3-5) in an SCC matchup on Tuesday, March 8, at 3 p.m. Mt. SAC defeated the Roadrunners on Feb. 8 by the score of 4-3.
