(Walnut, CA)  Sophomore softball shortstop Quinn De Avila was named to the 2020 California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (CCCFCA) Academic All-State Team.  Prior to the COVIDA-19 shortened season, De Avila was tearing up the diamond with a .458 batting average (22 for 48) with 16 RBI's, a .771 slugging percentage and 17 runs scored. 

Members of the CCCFCA Academic All-State Team must possess a 3.5 overall GPA and pass a minimum of 24 total units after their initial season of competition.

De Avila, out of South Hills High School, was one of 75 in the state and 10 from the South Coast Conference to join this elite group.  During the 2020, 19-game season, her batting power produced a game winning homerun against College of San Mateo (01/25) and a home run against Santiago Canyon (02/29) that tied the game at 4-4 and helped propel the Mounties to a 6-5 win.
