(Rancho Cucamonga, CA) Led by a pair of home runs by sophomore centerfielder Ally Longtree and a 14-hit attack, the Mt. SAC Softball Team cruised to its 13th consecutive win in a 10-3 win over Chaffey College in a South Coast Conference game Tuesday afternoon.

The streak is the second time this season that the Mounties have won 13 in a row and have now improved their record to 35-4 overall. The 35 wins are the second time in the last six years they have reached that total in the regular season. They have a chance to match the highest regular season win total of 36 wins since 2011 against East Los Angeles College Wednesday (5/24) on Sophomore Day.

In addition, the Mounties are bidding for their third undefeated conference season since 2013. They are currently 20-0 and can match their 21-0 finish in 2013.

In the win over Chaffey, seven of nine Mountie starters had a hit, including a home run by shortstop Quinn De Avila (1 for 3, R, RBI), and doubles by pitcher Alexia Silvas (1 for 3, R, RBI) and second baseman Rayven Spencer (2 for 3, 2 Rs, RBI).

Also, with two hits each were left fielder Candace Haliburton (2 for 4, RBI) and Longtree (2 for 4, 3 Rs, 2 RBIs, SB).

In the circle, Silvas picked up her 11th win against only two losses and struck out four batters in three innings. Zoe Brewer finished up the final four innings, allowing only three hits.

In the game, the Mounties scored seven runs in the first three innings, taking a 7-2 lead and scored single runs in the final three innings. The 14-hit total marked the sixth time with 14 or more hits in a game this season.
