(Cypress, CA) With the rain causing havoc on the schedule this past week, the Mt. SAC Softball Team continued its hot streak with it's sixth consecutive win after a season-opening loss, with nonconference victories over Cypress, 5-4 and Palomar, 6-0 Saturday (2/16) at Cypress College.

Two innings later the Chargers tied the game on a three-run home run off Mt. SAC starter Briana Wheeler.

The Mounties came right back with two runs in the top of the seventh for a 5-3 lead.

Cypress threatened in the bottom of the seventh with a run, but reliever (Sv) Zoe Brewer held the Chargers off with the bases loaded.

Wheeler (4-0), who was credited with her fourth win of the season, fanned 10 batters in the game for 36 on the season.
