The Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Team secured second place at the 2024 Manny Bautista Cross Country Invitational, held by San Diego Mesa on Friday, October 11, at NTC Park. The Mounties finished the four-mile course with a total time of 1:44:22 and a score of 72.
Central Arizona claimed first place with a time of 1:42:51 and a score of 45, while San Diego Mesa finished third at 1:44:14 with a score of 73.
Austin Ledgerwood led the Mounties with a time of 20:26.3, earning 6th place overall. Diego Varela followed closely in 12th with a time of 20:53.6, and Noah Chairez came in 15th at 20:54.9. Joel Fischer, Aidan Gomez, and Jordan Berkley finished back-to-back-to-back in 19th, 20th, and 21st places with times of 21:02.8, 21:04.4, and 21:05.1, respectively. Bryce Jackson rounded out the Mt. SAC competitors with a time of 21:06.6, finishing 23rd.
The Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Team will next compete in the historic Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational, finishing in Hilmer Lodge Stadium, on Friday, October 18.
