Mountie Men's Cross Country ties for third at Manny Bautista Invite

(San Diego, CA) In a field of 18 schools, the Mt. San Antonio College Men's Cross Country team posted 95 points to finish tied for third with Mesa Community College (AZ) at the Manny Bautista Cross Country Invite at NTC Park in San Diego on Friday, Oct. 7. Host San Diego Mesa College (42 points) and Central Arizona College (83) placed first and second, respectively.

Jesus Alvarado was the top finisher for the Mounties, turning in a time of 20:23.8 to place third in a field of 195 runners. Jonathan Pfeiffer (21:09.5, 18th place), Austin Ledgerwood (21:16.9, 21st), and Max Loera (21:28.2, 29th) rounded out the top 30 finishers for Mt. SAC.

The Mounties will next compete in the 2022 Mt. SAC Invite on Friday, Oct. 14, which they will also host.
