(San Diego, CA) Behind six top-20 individual finishes, Mt. SAC placed first as a team with 46 points at the San Diego Mesa Invite on Friday. Host San Diego Mesa finished second with 52 points and American River took third with 53 points.

Daniel Abdala was the top finisher for the Mounties, placing second with a time of 20:43.9. Teammates Zackary Alexander (7th, 20:55.4), Jesse Alvarado (8th, 21:00.3), Jalen Griego (11th, 21:01.5), Jonathan Pfeiffer (18th, 21:23.7), and Yair Torres (21:24.6) rounded out the team's top-20 placings.

Next up, Mt. SAC will host the 2021 Mt. SAC Invitational on Friday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m.
