(Huntington Beach, CA) With 166 points, the Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country team placed sixth at the Golden West Central Classic on Friday. Cuyamaca (62 points), Orange Coast (66), and College of the Sequoias (81) occupied the top three spots.

Louis Torres (22:51.1), Kurt Kaihara (5:43.0), and Andrew Jagielski (22:56.3) were the top three finishers for the Mounties, placing 31st, 32nd, and 33rd, respectively, in a field of 126 runners. Antonio Diaz (23:08.2) placed 39th to round out Mt. SAC's top-40 placings.

The Mounties will next compete in the San Diego Mesa Invite at NTC Park, Liberty Station, in San Diego on Friday, Oct. 1, at 9 a.m.
