Chula Vista, Calif. – Wrapping up an up-and-down month of October, the Mt. San Antonio College Men's Water Polo Team closed out its final tournament of the regular season with a split performance—an 18-7 victory over Grossmont followed by a hard-fought 17-13 loss to Ventura on Friday, October 31, at the Día de los Muertos Tournament. The Mounties finish regular-season play with a 13-10 overall record and a 3-2 mark in South Coast Conference action, sitting third behind Long Beach (5-0) and Cerritos (4-1).

Game 1: Mt. SAC Dominates Grossmont, 18-7

The Mounties opened the tournament with an impressive 18-7 win over Grossmont, displaying both offensive firepower and defensive discipline. Trevor Davis led the charge with four goals, while Benjamin Trull and Aidan Gillooly each netted three. Mt. SAC set the tempo early, jumping to a 4-0 first-quarter lead and maintaining control throughout the match. Goalkeeper Noah Musman anchored the defense with 11 saves, as the Mounties cruised to a convincing victory that showcased their depth and team chemistry.

Game 2: Mounties Fall Short Against Ventura, 17-13

In their second matchup of the day, Mt. SAC battled hard but fell to Ventura, 17-13, in a tightly contested game. Davis continued his impressive performance with six goals, while Jacob Carlson added three. Despite their resilience in a strong third quarter, the Mounties were unable to overcome Ventura's balanced scoring attack, led by Daniel Vadas with four goals, and the stellar goalkeeping of Bryce Biglin, who tallied 20 saves. Mt. SAC's goalkeepers, Musman and Michael Hale, combined for 11 saves in the effort.
