Mt. SAC Men’s Tennis wins fourth match in a row; Defeats SDCC, 5-4, in IEAC

(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Tennis team earned their fourth consecutive victory in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference on Friday (March 17), defeating San Diego City College 5-4. With this win, the Mounties improved to 5-4 overall and 5-2 in the conference, third place.

The No. 1 spot in the conference is still held by College of the Desert with an undefeated record of 7-0; the Mounties were previously defeated by Desert 9-0 (February 21). Mt. SAC will have the opportunity for a rematch against Desert on Monday (March 20).

In the win against SDCC, the two teams split their respective six singles matches, but the Mounties secured the victory by winning two of the three doubles matches.

The three singles winners were No. 2 Kaden Salvador (7-5, 6-4), No. 5 Jayden Aggers (6-3, 6-3), and No. 6 Justin Luu (6-0, 6-0), while the two doubles winners were No. 2 Ahren Van Zee/Tyler Perez (8-0) and No. 3 Aggers/Luu (8-3).
