
As the top-ranked men's soccer team in the state, the Mt. SAC Men's Soccer Team displayed their dominance with an impressive 6-0 victory over East Los Angeles College on Tuesday, October 22.
The match kicked off with a bang as Kenneth Flores scored just one minute in, assisted by Felipe Cobian. The momentum kept building as Cobian added a goal of his own in the 17th minute, putting the Mounties ahead 2-0 by halftime.
In the second half, Flores continued to excel, completing his hat trick with goals in the 48th and 64th minutes. Victor Fregoso and Fausto Lopez also found the back of the net, both assisted by Christopher Chavez.
Defensively, the Mounties were formidable, allowing East Los Angeles no shots on goal throughout the match.
With this victory, Mt. SAC improves to 11-1-3 overall and 4-1 in conference play. East Los Angeles now stands at 4-9-3 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference.
Looking ahead, the Mounties will face a tough challenge on the road against No. 6 ranked El Camino College on Friday at 4:00 PM. he Warriors, fresh off a 6-2 victory against Pasadena City, share a comparable record of 11-1-2 overall and 4-1 in conference play, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive matchup.
