The Mounties, who are ranked 7th nationally in the United Soccer Coaches Association poll, ended the half with a 1-0 lead over Mira Costa.

The Spartans evened the game 1-1 early in the second half, with just three minutes gone in the 48th minute.

Freshman forward Alan Piceno stretched the lead to a pair of goals, assisted by sophomore midfielder Randy De Los Santos.

Mira Costa trailed 3-2, on an unassisted goal with six minutes remaining in the game in the 84th minute.
