
(Costa Mesa, CA) Just three strokes separated the top three teams on the day, as the Mt. SAC Men's Golf team finished third at the Orange Empire Conference Match No. 6 at Costa Mesa Country Club Monday (May 10).
As a team, the Mounties finished seven-over-Par with a 367. For the first time in six matches, Orange Coast finished first with an even-par 360, followed by second-place Saddleback (364).
Mt. SAC sophomore Felix Tsui shot a season-best 71 (1-under Par), to finish in a tie for third out of 37 golfers on the 6,542-yard course.
It was the fourth time this season that the Mounties had a golfer card an under-Par score.
The remaining five Mt. SAC golfers also shot in the 70's, as Ben Sanders and Amaan Patel both carded even-par 72's, followed by Bryan Saw, Brandon Winters and Kotaro Noda with a four-over-Par 76.
Mt. SAC remains in first place in the OEC with a 32-4 record, followed by Saddleback (25-11) and OCC (22-14).
OEC Match No. 7 is Wednesday (May 12) at the Par-72 Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo.
