Mt. SAC Men's Basketball turns halftime deficit into SCC North win over East L.A.

(Monterey Park, CA) Host East Los Angeles College (13-7, 0-2) held a 38-37 halftime lead, but Mt. San Antonio College (18-2, 2-0) outscored the Huskies, 42-26, in the second half to secure a 79-64 South Coast Conference North Division win on Friday, Jan. 26.

Jon McCullough scored a game-high 25 points for the Mounties as teammates Nick Hopkins (16 points), CJ Fisher (12), and Mikah Gardner (11) rounded out the double-digit scoring for the visitors. Hopkins also led all players with eight rebounds.

Mt. SAC returns home for an SCC North matchup against Pasadena City College (13-7, 2-0) on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 5 p.m. The Lancers are 7-3 in their last 10 games, which includes a six-game win streak they'll look to extend against the Mounties, who are 9-1 in their last 10 games.
