(Los Angeles, CA) In a game that had 10 lead changes and 13 ties, host Los Angeles Southwest College (8-8) outlasted Mt. San Antonio College, 103-97, in double overtime to gain a South Coast Conference crossover victory on Wednesday, Jan. 11.

Trailing 79-77 late in the second half, the Mounties' Nick Hopkins (33 points, 10 rebounds) scored on a layup with 37 seconds to play to send the game into overtime. In the first overtime period, trailing 87-85, Hopkins scored again with 0:04 on the clock to force a second extra period.

Behind an 8-3 run to open the second overtime, the Cougars held on to secure the win.

Jay Milner added 22 points for Mt. SAC (9-9) as teammates Arturo Angeles (12 points), Mikah Gardner (16 points, six rebounds) and Dante Victor (11 points, seven rebounds) turned in solid performances.

L.A. Southwest's Koron Davis led all players with 43 points.

The Mounties return to action on Friday, Jan. 13, in an SCC crossover game at Los Angeles Harbor College (14-3) at 6 p.m.
