(Walnut, CA) It took an extra period to determine who won a South Coast Conference crossover matchup between host Mt. San Antonio College and El Camino College on Friday, Jan. 6. When all was said and done, the Mounties (9-8) outlasted the Warriors, 70-67.

With Mt. SAC leading, 59-57, and with 0:03 to play in regulation, El Camino (10-7) sent the game into overtime on a layup by Mo Cruz with 0:01 on the clock. The Mounties opened the extra period with a 6-0 run and staved off a late rally down the stretch to secure the win.

Mt. SAC's Mikah Gardner led all players with 21 points while grabbing a team-high eight rebounds. Jay Milner (16 points) and Dante Victor (11) rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Mounties. Victor and LJ McClain tallied seven and six rebounds in the winning effort, respectively.

Next up, Mt. SAC hits the road for an SCC crossover game at Los Angeles Southwest College (7-8) on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 7 p.m.
