(Santa Clarita, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Basketball team defeated L.A. Trade Tech, 65-48, in the consolation final of the 32nd Annual Cougar Holiday Classic at College of the Canyons on Thursday (December 29).

The Mounties (8-7) were led by four players in double figures, with freshman guard Nick Hopkins (5-9 FGM-A. 4-6 FTM-A, 9 RB, 1 Blk.) leading the way with 14 points.

Also, in double figures were Jay Milner (13 pts), LJ McClain, and Dante Victor with 11 points each.

Mt. SAC took a 15-point, 37-22 lead at the intermission, with Milner scoring 10 of his 13 points in the half.

The Mounties will now travel to Cerritos for a non-conference game on Wednesday, January 4.
