
(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Basketball Team scored a big opening-game victory in the 10th Annual Mountie Classic over Antelope Valley University 92-56, Friday night (11/30).
With the largest scoring half of the season to date with 56, the Mounties had five players in double figures, led by forward Keith Stewart (10-15 FGM, 10 RB, 1 Stl., 1Blk) with a game-high 21 points.
Todd Rigsby (3-6 FGM, 2-3 3PM, 9-9 FTM) and Gabe Ontiveros (6-9 FGM, 2-2 3PM, 4 RB, 6 Assts.) added 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Also scoring in double figures was Daniel DeJoya (5-9 FGM, 2-3 3PM, 3 RB, 5 Assts., 2 Stls.) with 12 points and Myles Allen (5-5 FGM, 8 RB, 2 Stls., 2 Blks.) added 10 points.
Joseph Gonzalez had three, 3-pointers on five attempts.
As a team the Mounties were 10 of 16 from beyond the arc and shot 66% from the field.
Mounties to face Imperial Valley on Saturday at 7:00 pm.
