(Walnut, CA) On National Signing Day (02/06/19) the Mountie Football Program matriculated 18 student-athletes to various universities across the nation. Leading the way for the Mounties was All-Southern California Football Association National Division Central League First Team Offensive Lineman Angel Matute (Rancho Cucamonga HS/Rancho Cucamonga, CA), who will continue his footbal career at the University of Missouri.
The Mounties signed a total of 7 players to NCAA Division I FBS schools. Along with Missouri, Mounties will be represented at the Boise State, Hawaii, University of Louisiana-Lafayette, New Mexico State, Old Dominion and Utah State.
The Mounties signed 1 student-athlete to an NCAA Division 1 FCS program, 8 to NCAA DII programs and 2 to an NAIA institution. The Mounties often travel in packs and this years winner was the University of Texas A&M Kingsville which signed 4 Mounties to their program.
