(Riverside, CA) The Mt. SAC Mounties (#3 South Seed), avenged their earlier season loss to host Riverside City College (#1 South Seed), defeating the Tigers, 35-14, in the Southern California Championship Game.  The win advances the Mounties into the 2014 CCCAA State Championship, where they will face powerhouse, San Francisco City College (11-1, #1 North Seed) on Saturday, December 13th, at 1:00 pm, here at Historic Hilmer Lodge Stadium.

After a slow start, with 15 punts between the two teams in the first half (9 in the first quarter), the Mounties took control of the game.  Quarterback Justin Alo had touchdown passes to Derrick Macon and Treydonte Hill prior to the half.  Mt. After the ensuing kick off return to the Mounties 30 yard line, on first down, running back, Omaris Tolbert eluded a number of Tigers to find the end zone with his incredible, momentum changing, 70 yard run.

Mt. SAC put the game away with another strong offensive drive, capped off with a 14 yard touchdown run by Branden Wilson, increasing their lead to 35-14.
