Mt. SAC Cheer Makes Triumphant Return to Daytona in Advanced Division

Daytona Beach, Florida – The Mt. SAC Cheer Team proudly took the stage at the 2025 NCA College Nationals from April 9–13, competing in the Small Coed Junior College Advanced Division. With 19 athletes—2 males and 17 females—the team performed on the iconic Bandshell stage, showcasing a dynamic routine choreographed by Mandy Morgan and DJ Fleming.

After months of preparation, Mt. SAC earned an impressive third-place finish, competing against top-tier programs. Trinity Valley Community College (TX) claimed first, followed by Dodge City Community College (KS) in second, and LA Pierce College (CA) in fourth.

Head Coach R.G. Ignacio reflected proudly on the team's journey saying, "This was our first time back since 2019, and our first return to the Advanced Division since 2016. We've previously competed in the Intermediate Division, but this year, we wanted to push ourselves and raise the bar."

Ignacio also acknowledged the dedication behind the performance, "We have worked hard from June through April to prepare for this moment, and it absolutely paid off. I'm extremely proud of their resilience, commitment, and drive to finish strong."

With the season now complete, the focus shifts to the future. Team tryouts are set for May 10, and Coach Ignacio is already looking ahead. "We're excited to build off this year's experience and come back even stronger next season."

A special thanks goes out to Athletix Apparel for providing the team's stunning new competition uniforms—helping Mt. SAC shine even brighter under the Daytona sun.

Congratulations to Mt. SAC Cheer on an incredible season—we can't wait to see what's next!
