(Compton, CA) A five-game win streak came to an end for Mt. San Antonio College (14-18, 5-11) as host Compton College (13-17, 4-10) handed the Mounties a 2-0 South Coast Conference defeat on Tuesday, April 11, in the first of a three-game series.

CJ Ontiveros (2-2), Joey Rossetti (1-3), Gibby Morales (1-4), Blake Hagerty (1-3), and Travis Hobbensiefken (1-4) provided all the offensive firepower Mt. SAC could muster on the day.

Starter Michael Flores (4-3) got the loss for the Mounties, pitching 6.2 innings, allowing two runs (both earned), and striking out 10.

Game 2 of the series will be on Thursday, April 13, in Walnut at 2:30 and Game 3 in Compton on Saturday, April 15, at 12 p.m.
