(Huntington Beach, CA) Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the ninth, Golden West (6-11) rallied with four runs to capture a 5-4 win over visiting Mt. SAC (8-9) on Tuesday, May 11.

Cole Jordan (2-4, 2 R), Cristian Enriquez (2-4), Manny Casillas (1-4, 2 RBI), Sebastian Garcia (1-4, RBI), and Hector Almaraz (1-1, 2B) were the top hitters for the Mounties. Nick Lugo added a stolen base for Mt. SAC.

The Mounties' Matt Mattingly (0-1) suffered the loss, throwing 0.1 innings and surrendering one run (earned). Starter Michael Gutierrez pitched seven innings, allowed one run (earned), and struck out nine.

Mt. SAC and the Rustlers will face off again on Thursday, May 13, in Huntington Beach at 2 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no spectators are allowed.
