Mt. SAC Baseball Wins Fourth Straight With Big Home Win Over Cerro Coso

(Walnut, CA) In another high-scoring affair, Mt. SAC (4-0) scored all of its runs by the end of the third inning en route to a 10-1 win over visiting Cerro Coso College (1-2) on Thursday, Jan. 30.

Albert Luevano (3-3, 3 RBI, 3 R, 2B, SB) had a big day for the Mounties, as did teammates Ryan Williams (2-3, RBI, 3 R, 2 SB) and Dylan Zavala (1-2, 3 RBI, R, 3B). Cole Jordan (1-3, RBI), Fabian Moran (1-2), and Tyus Santa Anna (1-2, RBI) had doubles in the win, while Cameron White (1-2, RBI, R) had a triple.

Starter Jacob Kampen (1-0) got the win for Mt. SAC, pitching 3.2 innings, allowing one run, and striking out two. Michael Gutierrez led the team with three strikeouts in an inning of relief.

The Mounties will put their four-game win streak on the line in a home matchup with Orange Coast College (0-2) on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 12 p.m.
