Down 6-4 after six, Mt. SAC exploded for five runs in the top of the seventh to take the lead for good, then tacked on two more for good measure. Chaffey's two-run rally in the bottom of the ninth fell short as the Mounties held on for the victory.

Dylan Zavala homered in the top of the eighth and Koontz scored on a wild pitch to account for Mt. SAC's scoring in the inning.
